FLEA CONTROL PREPARATION

These instructions MUST be completed prior to our technician’s arrival for treatment.

BEFORE WE ARRIVE

Please be ready to vacate for 4 hours. If there are children under the age of 2, pregnant women, or any persons with upper respiratory medical conditions, these individuals will need to be out of the building for 8 hours. All pets must be removed from the home during the treatment and away for 4 hours. Fishbowls and aquariums may remain but must be covered properly with a towel and the filters turned off.

WHAT IS USED?

Products are selected based on conditions and pests present within the structure. You will see an immediate reduction of pests and on-going improvement as pest life cycles become disrupted. It is normal to see adult fleas for a couple of weeks after the interior has been treated. Flea treatments include insect growth regulators that break the insect life cycle. Our products take 10-14 days on average for complete control of pests including egg cycles. Please be aware the technician may adjust the treatment based on the inspection and pests present. Your technician will explain the treatment process and any follow-up procedures besides vacuuming.

EXTERIOR PREPARATION

  • Clear area around the foundation of the home of any items or debris. Sweep any debris (dirt, leaves, etc.) away from the foundation a minimum of 6 inches away from home to allow for complete treatment.
  • If the yard is to be treated, be sure to have your lawn freshly mowed.
  • Move all lawn furniture out of the shaded areas where the technician will be treating.
  • Pick up pet beds, food and water dishes, toys, and any pet excrement prior to treatment. Ensure the pet will not have access to the treatment area until after the product has dried.
  • Pick up all children’s toys. Playhouses do not need to be removed but should be a minimum of 2 feet away from the home.

INTERIOR PREPARATION

  • Sweep and/or vacuum the floors. Make sure to discard the bag/ contents after vacuuming. Please continue to vacuum after treatment once every day for 2 weeks to remove flea eggs and cocoons.
  • Clear all baseboards to the best of your ability to allow access for treatment.
  • Pick up pet beds, and wash the bedding. Pick up food and water dishes and toys prior to treatment. Ensure the pet will not have access to the treatment area until after the product has dried.
  • Vacuum furniture that pets come in contact with. Tell your pest control technician where pets normally rest.
  • Pick up clothes, shoes, children’s toys, and other loose items prior to treatment.

“They recently "prepped" my house including repairs and replacement of fascia boards, outside rafters, etc., prior to tenting the house in order to eliminate termites. Their "prep" work was done, including new matching paint, (in less than five hours) on at least five different locations on the exterior of the house. Not only were they very professional and competent; just as importantly, they were very courteous, and responsive to all questions that I asked.”

- Patrick E.

“I have been using Major League for a few years for general pest control and they have been great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and affordable. I started using them when I moved into my house because my neighbor recommended them. I have also used them for termite fumigation. While it’s not a fun process to go through, they made it as painless as possible and walked us through every step. If you need pest control service and/or termite extermination, I definitely recommend them.”

- Lauryn B.

“Dan came out to inspect the house and was nice and patient. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Happy with the whole process and recommend this company to anyone.”

- Richard D.

“The technician was friendly, attentive and professional. The work was completed as promised and I was informed about how our every three month service would work. I especially like that Major League will come out between service dates in case there is a new problem. This was my first experience with a pest control company and I am glad it was with Major League. They were recommended by a family member and I understand why. This may be a life-long relationship.”
